‘200,000 CTEVT-trained manpower are jobless’



KATHMANDU: Experts have warned of an acute problem of ‘brain drain’ in the country in the future.

This projection has been based on the facts that 200,000 among those receiving training from the Council for  Technical  Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) are jobless.

These skilled manpower have been forced to go abroad for jobs since they are jobless in their own country.

According to the records maintained by the CTEVT, a total 500,000 individuals have received CTEVT training over the last one decade, out of which 200,000 are jobless.
