Armed Police Force sends ‘disaster response system container’



KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) has sent three ‘disaster response system containers’ to the earthquake-affected districts.

The security forces left for Rukum Paschim along with 10,700 pieces of tarpaulin sheets in three containers on Sunday.

Senior Superintendent and Spokesperson of the APF, Rajendra Khadka, said that the tarpaulin sheets were managed by the No 20 Disaster Rescue Valley Battalion and No 22 Guheshwori Battalion.

Similarly, the APF had already sent two disaster response system containers to Jajarkot from Surkhet.

More than 500 APF persons are mobilized in the quake-hit area. The Nepal Police has also mobilized more than 1,000 persons.
