KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has suspended the licenses of two Tara Air pilots.

The authority has revoked the licenses of Senior Captain Santosh Shah and another Captain Sanjeev Shrestha of Tara Air.

On Friday morning, an altercation occurred between two Tara Air pilots at Manthali Airport in Ramechhap. In response to this incident, the authority has suspended their licenses and initiated a further investigation.

Captain Santosh Shah departed from Lukla, Solukhumbu, at 8 am today and landed at Manthali Airport. Meanwhile, Captain Sanjeev Shrestha was heading to the aircraft for the Lukla flight.

Captain Shah, who had arrived from Lukla to Manthali, disembarked from the plane and was walking, while Captain Shrestha was approaching the aircraft. When the two pilots met, Captain Shah extended his hand for a greeting, but Captain Shrestha struck Shah on the cheek and pushed him.
