UML leaders including Nabina Lama injured in Kavre accident



KAVRE: A vehicle carrying the CPN-UML leaders met with an accident in Kavre.

Ba 14 Cha 7077 traveling from Taldhunga in Bethanchok Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 Nigale to Bethanchok, met with an accident on Sunday afternoon.

According to DSP Rajkumar Shrestha, the accident occurred at 2 pm on Sunday, attributed to a brake failure.

Out of 18 passengers in the vehicle 11 sustained injuries. The injured are currently receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

Among the injured is UML leader Nabina Lama, who suffered head and left arm injuries. The vehicle, following the brake failure, came to a stop on the road.

Other injured individuals include 36-year-old Srijana Nepali from Syangja, her 13-year-old son Suham Shrestha, and her 5-year-old son Suraj Shrestha.

Likewise, 40-year-old Rachana Magar and her 16-year-old daughter Angila Sodari of Khanikhola-5, Kavre were also injured.

The list of injured individuals continues with 32-year-old Meena Shrestha, 32-year-old Gobind Shrestha from Dolakha, 35-year-old Dipendra Lama and Bhakta Kumari Lama from Kavre.

Furthermore, 74-year-old Syngtang Tamang from Kavre’s Bethanchok Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 also sustained injuries.

According to medical professionals, the condition of all the injured individuals is currently stable.
