PM Dahal vows to unearth even larger corruption scandals
Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ declared his intent to unveil even more substantial corruption cases, emphasizing that good governance remains the government’s foremost priority. Body of one more Nepali student brought from Israel
The body of one more among the 10 Nepali students who were killed in due to the attack by Hamas militants in Israel on October 7 has been brought to Nepal today. The mortal remains of Ganesh Kumar Nepali of Jayaprithvi-6, Bajhang district were brought here today on a Fly Dubai Airlines plane, said Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sharad Raj Aran.
NEA’s online payment service thrives as its collects Rs 100 million daily
With an impressive surge in online electricity tariff payments, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has witnessed a notable transformation in customer payment preferences. Having initiated its online payment service six years ago, the NEA now reports that 30 percent of its customers have embraced this convenient mode of payment. The online billing system is currently amassing a staggering daily collection of Rs 100 million.
Manakamana Cable Car service back into regular operation
The Manakamana Cable Car service has come back to regular operation from today after closing for three days for the Dashain festival. The cable car service was closed on October 23, 24 and 25 for the Dashain festival holiday and it has been resumed from today, said Ujjwal Sherchan, the Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, the company that operates the cable car service.
One killed in scooter accident
A woman has died and a person sustained injuries when the scooter they were riding met with an accident at Jurikhet, Ward No 6 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality in Makawanpur district last night. The scooter with registration number plate 02-027-Pa 4842 was heading towards Hetauda from Kathmandu when it fell some 100 metres down the Kathmandu-Kulekhani-Hetauda road.
