PM Dahal, Unified Socialist Chair Nepal discuss contemporary issues

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the CPN-Unified Socialist party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, held a discussion on making the government efficient and effective.

During the meeting held at PM’s Office, Singha Durbar today, they discussed various issues including the government’s efficiency, a campaign launched by the Socialist Forum, the country’s economy, the current session of parliament, and the upcoming Nepal visit of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, Chair Nepal said they discussed contemporary issues including the government’s efficiency. “We talked about the effective performance of government, called for a meeting of the ruling parties, consulted experts on resolving problems in the economy as well as building common understanding on various issues among ruling parties.

On the occasion, Chair Nepal drew PM Dahal’s attention towards the non-implementation of understanding reached among the parties regarding appointments of ministers and commissions.
