Unified Socialist Chair Nepal calls to address economic crisis

KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged the government to solve the economic problems facing the country including those related to livelihood and high cost of living.

Speaking at a corner meet organized as part of Socialist Awakening Campaign of the Party in Kawasoti this morning, he also shared that his party had submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to solve the economic crisis of the country.

Also former Prime Minister, leader Nepal said the socialist awakening campaign focuses on employment, good governance and prosperity. The CPN-US is active in favor of industrial development and working to address the concerns of the loan sharking victims.

The campaign began from Kakadvitta in the east on October 1 and has seen meetings held in Birtamod, Damak, Urlabari, Biratchok, Itahari, Inaruwa, Bhardaha, Rajbiraj, Chinnamasta, Arnaha, Bhagwanpur, Siraha, Bandipur and Jadukuha, Janakpur, Jaleshwar, Dhalkebar, Lalbandi, Garuda, Harnaiya and Kalaiya. The campaign has also passed through Birgunj, Pathalaiya, Hetauda, Manahari, Bhandara and Bharatpur.

Head of the Party’s Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada said that during the campaign 4000 leaders and cadres of the UML, Congress, Maoist and other parties have been joined the party in various districts of Koshi and Madhes provinces.
