UML Madhesh Province Convention set to take place in Janakpur

JANAKPURDHAM: The CPN-UML Madhesh Province Convention is set to take place in Janakpurdham on October 11 and 12.

Party Chairman KP Oli is slated to inaugurate the convention, according to the party.

Yogesh Bhattarai, the in-charge of UML Madhesh Province, said that the event’s sub-committees, responsible for food, accommodation, stage preparation, and volunteer coordination, have been working to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.

Approximately 1000 representatives have been selected from eight districts, various departments, and people’s organizations, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity in the convention’s composition, Bhattarai said.

However, some municipalities have experienced disputes regarding the selection of convention representatives.

Should an agreement remain elusive, representatives will be elected through a democratic process, he added.

The UML Madhesh Province Committee has rallied behind the convention’s slogan, “Social Justice and Good Governance Our Responsibility, UML government for Self-respect and Prosperity of Madesh.”
