PM Dahal’s visit to China fruitful: FNCCI President Dhakal

CHANGDU: The President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has lauded the visit of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to China, emphasizing its significant economic benefits.

Dhakal, who accompanied Prime Minister Dahal during his China visit, expressed his views to the media in China, and underlined the visit’s potential to bolster Chinese investments in Nepal and explore various economic opportunities.

The visit commenced with a ‘Business Summit’ held in Beijing, the capital of China, organized by the FNCCI, in collaboration with CCPIT, an organization representing Chinese businessmen.

The Summit witnessed participation from Nepalese private sector representatives, Chinese investors, and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

Dhakal regarded the participation of entrepreneurs from both Nepal and China at the Summit, along with the signing of joint investment agreements, as a significant step in attracting Chinese investments to Nepal.

He said, “For quite some time, business leaders from Nepal and China have been unable to convene and discuss bilateral trade and investment matters. This time, we organized a gathering of industrialists and investors from both countries, taking proactive measures to invite Chinese investments into Nepal.”

The Summit saw attendance from over 100 industrialists affiliated with CCPIT.

Through the conference, these participants gained valuable insights into the possibilities and conditions for investing in Nepal.

“Through the conference, we’ve showcased the potential for Chinese investments in Nepal. The Prime Minister has also made a strong appeal for investments in Nepal,” President Dhakal noted.

“PM Dahal expressed a firm commitment to support and safeguard Chinese investments in Nepal. Given the eagerness of Chinese investors to invest in Nepal, I believe this visit has proven to be economically fruitful,” he added.
