NEW YORK: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has pledged to ensure voting rights for Nepali citizens residing abroad.
He emphasized that no Nepali living abroad will be denied their right to vote, and he has already directed the Election Commission to facilitate voting arrangements for Nepalese expatriates.
During his visit to New York for the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, Prime Minister Dahal addressed journalists, stating that the government is deeply concerned about the misuse of social media and has implemented special measures to regulate it.
He also expressed the government’s commitment to combating corruption and promoting good governance.
Furthermore, PM Dahal alleged that certain groups are actively attempting to tarnish the government’s achievements and positive initiatives.
Before his address at the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Dahal is slated to participate in various sideline meetings in his capacity as the leader of an underdeveloped country.
