Man arrested for fraudulent foreign employment promise to UK



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested Muktiraj Bomjan, 44, for defrauding individuals by promising them foreign employment opportunities in the United Kingdom (UK).

Bomjan, who had falsely assured seven individuals, including Prakash Kathayat, of lucrative foreign employment, was apprehended for deceptive practices.

Under the guise of securing foreign employment in the UK, he convinced his victims that each would earn a salary exceeding Rs. 300,000 (three hundred thousand rupees) per month.

Following his apprehension, Bomjan was promptly transferred to the Foreign Employment Department in Tahachal, Kathmandu, where he will undergo further investigation and face appropriate legal action.
