Chitwan reports scrub typhus death



NARAYANGADH: A 48-year-old woman died of scrub typhus in Chitwan.
She is from Kawasoti municipality-17 in Nawalpur.

The District Health Office confirmed the death of the woman amidst the intensive care unit treatment at Chitwan Medical College. She was diagnosed with scrub typhus at a local health facility in her locality and was brought to Chitwan on Sunday.

To date in the current fiscal year, the district reports the 67 confirmed cases of scrub typhus following 695 tests, and of them, 25 are from within the district and the remaining from outside the district.
