KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of the CPN Unified Socialist Party, has hinted at the possibility of a re-election in the Koshi province.
Speaking at a program organized by his party’s sister organization Unified Trade Union Federation on Saturday, Chairman Nepal asserted that Koshi province faces just two choices: either to proceed with elections or to form a coalition government. He signaled his party’s readiness to participate in elections.
He stated, “The options now are to unite, support others, or hold elections. It doesn’t concern us. According to our allies’ calculations, even in an election, our party stands to gain. Others have declined in significant numbers, and they fear they won’t secure more than 20 seats next time.”
Chairman Nepal also defended his party’s integrity, asserting that they are not corrupt and shouldn’t be alarmed if accusations are made against them.
