LAHAN: The CPN-UML’s Secretariat meeting, originally planned to take place at Sarre Ambas in Dhangadimai Municipality, Siraha district starting today, has been rescheduled to convene on August 30.

The decision to postpone the meeting comes in light of the relentless rain, as explained by UML’s district chairperson, Chandeshwor Mandal.

Party Chairperson KP Oli had embarked on a journey to Biratnagar earlier today to participate in the aforementioned meeting.

Mandal elaborated, “To reach the designated location (Sarre Ambas) for the Secretariat meeting, there’s a river to cross. Unfortunately, due to the continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days, the river’s water levels have surged significantly. After careful deliberation with the party Chair, we concluded that it’s prudent to defer the meeting.”

As a result, the meeting’s rescheduling ensures safety and accessibility, considering the challenging weather conditions.
