Opponents crafting spider’s web to entrap me: KP Oli

"Buffaloes do not get caught in a spider's web"

KATHMANDU: KP Sharma Oli, the Chairman of CPN-UML, has asserted that his opponents are intricately weaving a spider’s web in an attempt to ensnare him.

Chairman Oli responded to his opponents with a touch of sarcasm, remarking, “Buffaloes do not get caught in a spider’s web.”

“I have held positions as Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister, and Home Minister. Throughout my tenure, I made meticulous decisions, ensuring that they strictly adhered to the law. This vigilance prevented any missteps in alignment with their desires,” he articulated at a program on Thursday.

“It is crucial for them to comprehend that a buffalo does not stumble into a spider’s web. Their machinations even extend to plotting my demise,” he added.

“I endured a decade of unwarranted confinement during the Panchayat regime, and they further extended it baselessly for four more years,” he recounted.

He went on to emphasize, “I have left no vulnerabilities that could warrant my arrest.”

Oli also accused his opponents of tarnishing the reputation of CPN-UML by disseminating unfounded rumors about the party.

He said that this tactic is employed to mask their own involvement in corrupt practices and smuggling.
