Election of Parliamentary Committee Chairpersons scheduled for August 28



KATHMANDU: The election to appoint chairpersons for various parliamentary committees is set to take place on August 28.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, is slated to introduce the election agenda during Thursday’s session.

This electoral process will usher in new leadership for the parliamentary committees.

In accordance with the agreement among the parties, Nepali Congress will have 4, CPN-UML 3, Maoist Center 2, while Janata Samajwadi Party and Unified Socialist will each hold one chairperson position.
