HoR meeting taking place today

CPN-UML commits to allowing uninterrupted Parliament session

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to convene this afternoon, as confirmed by the Parliament Secretariat.

The session is slated to commence at 3 pm.

In a significant development, the CPN-UML, which had previously been obstructing Parliament proceedings while demanding the establishment of a high-level investigation committee to address the gold smuggling case, has declared its intent not to obstruct today’s meeting.

The CPN-UML, the main opposition party, made this decision subsequent to the government’s concession to form a high-level inquiry committee.

This agreement was reached during a collaborative gathering involving nationally recognized parties at the Prime Minister’s Office last night.

Mahesh Bartaula, the whip of CPN-UML, affirmed that today’s session will proceed without any disruption.
