NEPSE declines by 36 points on Tuesday, transaction shrinks to two billion rupees



KATHMANDU: On the third day of trading today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by double digits.

NEPSE index decreased by 36.19 points to 2164.31 points on Tuesday. The sensitive index fell by 7.62 percent.

On this day, 7,716,277 shares of 267 companies were bought and sold for Rs. 2,917,732,418.

On Monday, the NEPSE index fell by 26.66 points. On that day, the stock market had a transaction worth 4.73 billion rupees.

In the double-digit down market, only one company’s share price traded at positive circuit levels. The share of Kisan Microfinance increased by 10 percent.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded, 12 decreased, and only 1 increased today. The index of the Hotels and Tourism sub-group increased by 1.22 percent.

On this day, while the index of 32 companies increased, 176 decreased. The value of nine companies remained stable.
