Child goes missing in Samakhushi floods in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A child has gone missing after being swept away by the flood in Samakhushi, Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

13-year-old Sajan Magar, who lives in Samakhushi and studies in Class 6 at Bhanubhakta Memorial School in Panipokhari, has gone missing, said DSP Anil Adhikari of District Police Range Kathmandu.

Magar was out to play when he got washed away by the small rivulet this evening, DSP Adhikari explained.

After receiving the news of the child’s disappearance, Nepal Police’s Gongabu, Maharajgunj Circle, and Armed Police Force’s Disaster Management Team have intensified the search for the missing child.
