NC CWC meeting: Shouldn’t Gen Secy abide by discipline code ?

KATHMANDU: Participants of the Central Working Committee meeting of Nepali Congress (NC), have raised their eyebrows against the General Secretaries duo Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma’s recent advocacy for the leadership transfer and change of parliamentary party leader.

Referring to the General Secretaries duo’s expressions for the transfer of leadership to the new generation, Sudurpaschim Province President Bir Bahadur Balayar asked whether the disciplinary codes do not apply to the senior leadership.

“What good has been done by a central member, an official and a person in one senior position speaking against another senior leader?” Balayar asked, adding, “Does it strengthen the party?”

Lately, with the conclusion that the party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s leadership has done no good to the party, the General Secretaries advocated a change of leadership.
