Tiptop Help Nepal ascends the top spot



KATHMANDU: In the 7th Prime Minister’s Cup NVA women’s and men’s volleyball tournament undergoing in Kathmandu, Tiptop Help Nepal Sports Club has risen to the top position by defeating Nepal Police in the men’s side on Wednesday.

Help Nepal defeated the Police in a set of 3-2 in the match in the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor. Help Nepal, which included 3 Pakistani players, put a break on the Police’s rhythm, which was undefeated in the previous 3 matches.

After the 1-1 draw, the third set became very competitive and was won by Help Nepal. The team (Tiptop) was stopped at 18 due to a silly mistake in the fourth set.

In the fifth set, when the match was tied at 11-11, the match was stopped for a while when Help Nepal’s player Amel was hit in the stomach and hand by the ball when the police blocked it. Help Nepal won the game with 2 excellent spikes in a row after reaching 22 in the fifth set.

Help Nepal has collected 2 points from today’s game while Police has also collected 1 point in defeat. Along with this, Help Nepal has risen to the top position with 11 points.
