PM Dahal asks UML: Should a Prime Minister resign as soon as opposition asks for it?

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has asked whether a Prime Minister is obligated to resign immediately upon the demand of the main opposition party, CPN-UML.

During the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Monday, PM Dahal expressed his views on the matter, stating that a Prime Minister is entitled to provide an explanation before the House of Representatives.

PM Dahal acknowledged the concerns raised about his statement regarding the release of a book and expressed his intention to clarify the matter promptly. However, he lamented that the Parliament was disrupted without granting him an opportunity to do so.

“I have been diligently responding to all inquiries in Parliament, and it is my duty to address the questions raised within the legislative body,” he emphasized.
