Samajwadi Morcha holding its first meeting today



KATHMANDU: The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), a loose forum of left-inclined political parties in Nepal, is scheduled to hold its first meeting today.

The meeting will take place this afternoon at the central office of the Unified Socialist Party in Aloknagar.

The primary focus of the meeting will be to discuss the role of the Morcha in the current political landscape of the country.

Additionally, the meeting will review the government’s action plan for improving people’s livelihoods and explore ways to strengthen the Front.

Top leaders from the four parties affiliated with the Front will participate in the meeting, as stated by Jagannath Khatiwada, the leader of the Unified Socialist Party.

The formation of the Front was announced on June 19.

The Front comprises of Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party, Unified Socialist Party, and Biplap-led Nepal Communist Party.
