Constitutional provisions are violated while forming coalition govt in Koshi: KP Oli

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, KP Oli has accused the ruling coalition of violating the Constitution while forming government in Koshi province.

Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Friday, the UML Chair said that the Constitution should not be undermined in the name of forming a government.

“The Speaker’s signature was misused while submitting the claim for government formation. And, it is not appropriate for the provincial head to appoint the chief minister on party interests,’ Oli argued, adding, ‘This is a violation of the constitution.”

He claimed that his party would act more actively against the corruption cases than the incumbent government.
