National Assembly meeting postponed till Thursday

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting, which was halted for a few hours after the main opposition CPN-UML obstructed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s speech, has been postponed till Thursday.

At 2:30 PM, the main opposition UML obstructed the parliament citing that Prime Minister Dahal made a statement that Sardar Pritam Singh had visited India many times in his attempt to make Dahal Prime Minister.

After the continuous obstruction from UML, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Timilsina, adjourned till 4:46. However, as the parties could not reach an agreement, the Parliament session was adjourned to be held at 1 PM on Thursday.
