Municipal police fixing fence to safeguard land of Lalita Niwas



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has instructed the city police to protect the public land of Lalita Niwas in Baluwatar.

After Mayor Shah’s instructions, the city police made preparation to fence the unoccupied and the encroached land on Sunday afternoon.

“We are going to protect the land of Lalita Niwas. If it is empty, we put a wire fence. If the houses are under construction, instructions have been received to stop them,” head of the Kathmandu Metropolis, Rajunath Pandey said, adding, “Everything else will be done as per the necessity of the situation.”

The CIB of Nepal Police is investigating this land scam case and the case is also going on in the court.
