Current govt. will remain in power for the full term: PM Dahal

POKHARA: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” asserted that the current coalition government would remain in power for the entire five-year term.

Speaking at a program in Pokhara on Saturday, he claimed, “The coalition government will continue for five years, regardless of any attempts to undermine it. We will move forward with maximum consensus.”

PM Dahal emphasized that the government will intensify its efforts to investigate corruption.

Whether it is the Bhutanese refugee scam or the Lalita Niwas land grab, the government will accelerate its actions, the PM stated.

Prime Minister Dahal also stated that the fiscal budget 2023/24 was passed despite uncertainties, and the government has been implementing its activities in a new manner.

“We have dedicated all our efforts to address the issues faced by the people. We have brought tens of thousands of Nepalis working abroad under the social security fund, which has long-term significance,” PM Dahal said.

He also expressed his belief that the economy was gradually moving in the right direction.

Stating that his recent visit to India was “historic”, he said, “The Indian Prime Minister’s commitment to addressing border issues is a significant development.”

PM Dahal announced his upcoming visit to China, which he plans to utilize for the benefit of Nepal and Nepalis.

During the Chief Ministers’ meeting held in Pokhara last Friday, a document outlining a common agenda for provincial governments was submitted. PM Dahal believes that this document will play a significant role in effectively implementing federalism.
