Police nab youth with around two kg gold



BHAIRAHAWA: The Armed Police Force (APF), Rupandehi has arrested a person in possession of around two kilos of gold amounting to over Rs 18.5 million.

Acting on a special tip-off, the APF squad confiscated the contraband: two biscuits of gold weighing 1965.03 grams from a car (Ba 12 Cha 3820) from the Kalidaha checkpoint of Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality last night.

The arrested is Humanand Giri, 21, of Ghorahi municipality-10, Dang.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, the police said.
