First international commercial flight lands at Pokhara Int’l Airport



POKHARA: The first international commercial plane landed at Pokhara International Airport today (Wednesday).

The narrow-body A319 of Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu, China, carrying passengers, including athletes participating in the Nepal China Dragon Boat Race Festival to be held on June 23 and 25 at Phewa Lake in Pokhara, landed at Pokhara International Airport at 9:06 am today.

The Nepalese delegation including the Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who returned from a visit to China, also came on the aircraft.

This is the first international flight that landed at Pokhara International Airport, which has been operating since January 1, 2023.

On the day of the inauguration of the airport, Himalayan Airlines conducted a test flight.
