KATHMANDU: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit today made it clear that the government would not backtrack from the inclusive proportional system while filling vacancies announced by the Public Service Commission (PSC) for local units.
Arguing that the vacancy announcements were in line with the spirit of the constitution, Acts, law, and the PSC, Minister Pandit said that since the vacancy was opened in compliance with the laws, the government was not in a mood to backtrack from the inclusive proportionate system.
He said this while responding to queries raised by the lawmakers at today’s meeting of the National Assembly (NA). Minister Pandit further said that the government’s priority was to bring women, Dalit, women, indigenous and Madheshi and other marginalized communities to the mainstream.
