KATHMANDU: Karnali International Film Festival-2080 BS would be organized for the first time at Birendranagar of Surkhet district from September 21 to 23 this year.
The Festival aims to promote Karnali’s narratives, lifestyles, costume, arts, cultures, traditions, literature and languages among others at national and international level, it was shared in a press meet here today.
The Festival will be organized by Red Cherry Media Pvt Ltd in association with the Film Development Board.
The logo of the Festival was unveiled in the event. Festival Director Chandra Bahadur Chand shared that the Festival is expected to propagate local art and culture.
“We aim to introduce Karnali Province and market the province as a suitable film shooting spot,” he said, adding that they were organizing the Festival gauging the need to promote tourism through films.
