KATHMANDU: Supreme Court (SC) is conducting a preliminary hearing on the petition filed against the authentication of Citizenship Bill today.

Senior advocates Bal Krishna Neupane and Dr Surendra Bhandari on Friday filed a writ petition at the SC against President Ram Chandra Paudel’s move to authenticate the Citizenship Bill.

The petitioners – Neupane and Bhandari — have demanded that the move to certify the Citizenship Bill passed by the previous Federal Parliament be declared unconstitutional.
