UML reshuffles responsibilities of leaders extensively, Vice Chairs in roles of departmental heads



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has widely changed the responsibilities of the central leaders.

The vice-chairmen have been given the responsibility of departmental heads and the secretaries are in charge of provinces.

The meeting of the Central Secretariat held today has appointed the in-charges of 6 provinces except for Bagmati province.

The meeting appointed Raghuveer Mahaseth in charge of Koshi, Yogesh Bhattarai in Madhes, Gokarna Bista in Gandaki, Padma Aryal in Lumbini, Lekhraj Bhatta in Karnali, and Chabilal Bishwakarma in Sudurpaschim.

In Bagmati, Deputy Secretary General Pradeep Gyawali informed that the central office will look at it.

Similarly, UML has entrusted Kashinath Adhikari as the head of the organization department. Earlier Khagraj officer was the head of the department, but the officer in charge of Bagmati has been given the responsibility of the organization.

Similarly, Rajendra Gautam has been entrusted with the Publicity and Publication Department. Earlier, Prithvi Subba Gurung was the Head of Publicity Department.

Similarly, the UML has made central members from other parties including the Unified Socialist Party.

The secretariat meeting nominated Mukund Neupane, who had left the United Socialist Party, as a central member.

Similarly, UML has also made Chudamani BK ‘Jungali’, who returned from Samajwadi, a central member.

Along with them, UML nominated 13 people as central members on Friday.

Along with Neupane and Jungali, other leaders Prem Bahadur Singh, Bhagwat Biswasi, Hemraj Rai, Thammar Bishta, Umashankar Argaria, Ajay Gupta, Ekwal Mian, Ganesh Khanal, Prem Tamang, Yam Bahadur Pariyar, and Surendra Manandhar are appointed as central members.
