Chudamani Sharma found guilty in revenue leakage case, acquitted of illegal wealth acquisition



KATHMANDU: Chudamani Sharma, who was accused of revenue leakage, has been found guilty in a corruption case.

A bench of special court Chairperson Sheee Kanta Paudel, members Yamuna Bhattarai and Shaligram Koirala convicted Sharma.

However, he has been acquitted of acquiring illegal wealth.

The Special Court will decide the sentence on June 8.

Sharma, who was accused of revenue leakage, was ordered to be released on a bond of Rs 50 lakh by the Special Court.

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority had filed a case in the Special Court alleging Sharma by giving a tax exemption.
