Govt to refrain from purchasing new vehicles in FY 2023/24



KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will not purchase new vehicles in the fiscal year 2023/24.

Presenting the budget for the next fiscal year at the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that vehicles will not be purchased in the next fiscal year.

“New vehicles and furniture and furnishings will not be purchased/ procured in the fiscal year 2023/24,” Finance Minister Mahat said.

He said that no new building will be constructed in the next financial year except for the essential ones.

Finance Minister Mahat also said that foreign visits will be banned except for those who are necessarily represented by the Nepalese government.
