CAVA Women’s Challenge Cup Nepal stands third, beats Uzbekistan 3-1

KATHMANDU: Nepal secured the third position in NSC CAVA Women’s Challenge Cup volleyball undergoing in the capital.

In the match held on Sunday at the Covered Hall of the National Sports Council in Tripushwar, Nepal finished third by defeating Uzbekistan by 3-1.

After losing the first set 20-25, Nepal won the next three sets and won third place. Nepal won the second set 25-16 and the third set 25-15. By winning the fourth set 25-13, Nepal won the third place.

This time, Nepal had a chance to win the title for the third time in a row. However, Nepal failed to reach the finals after losing to Kazakhstan in the semi-finals. Uzbekistan lost to India in the semi-final.

India and Kazakhstan are competing in the final today. The match between these two teams will start at 4 pm.

In this year’s Challenge Cup, Sri Lanka finished fifth, Kyrgyzstan sixth, Maldives seventh, and Bangladesh eighth.
