NSC-CAVA women’s Volleyball: Kyrgyzstan defeats Maldives



KATHMANDU: Kyrgyzstan defeated the Maldives in the match held today under the NSC-CAVA (Central Asian Volleyball Association) Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup tournament underway in the capital.

In the match held at the National Sports Council (NSC) Covered Hall, Kyrgyzstan defeated the Maldives in three straight sets of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-15 respectively.

Both the countries are out of the tournament, after failing to qualify for the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final of the competition, Uzbekistan will face India while hosts Nepal will play against Kazakhstan in the second semi-final to be held tomorrow.

A total of eight countries are participating in the tournament.
