KATHMANDU: A total of 45 rhinos and 13 Royal Bengal Tigers have died in a year in Nepal.
This is the highest number of deaths of endangering animals in history according to Chitwan National Park.
According to the records, 42 rhinos died in Chitwan district alone while three others died in Bardiya National Park.
Similarly, seven tigers died in Chitwan National Park, three others died in Bardiya National Park, two in Banke National Park and one in Division Forest Office, Parsa.
