Former Home Minister Khand returned to Teku after statement

KATHMANDU: Former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has been taken to Teku after his statement on the Fake Bhutanese Refugee case is over.

Khand was taken to the district attorney’s office in Kathmandu for the statement.

He was arrested on May 10. After the arrest, the deadline was initially extended by 3 days. The police extended the deadline by 4 days for the second time on Sunday.
More than 60 questions were prepared by the research team for the statement.

Khand was asked questions ranging from money transactions to why the report was changed in the fake refugee case.

The police are making preparations to take the statement of former Deputy Prime Minister and CPN-UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.

Earlier, during the statement, the then Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey admitted that he had given the amount to the others involved in the case.
