KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmaker Laxmi Mahato Koiri has been suspended.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat said Koirala, who has been accused of murder, has been suspended.
The Secretariat issued a notice of suspension on Tuesday afternoon.
Elected from Mahottari Constituency-1, he is accused of murdering Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Thaman BK.
The Janakpur High Court had earlier ordered him to be detained on charges of murder.
