SARLAHI: Two persons were killed on the spot in a road accident along the East-West highway at Lalbandi municipality-6.
The deceased have been identified as Shrawan Kumar Mahato of Gaushala municipality-11 in Mahottari and his nephew Bikram Kumar Mahato, according to the Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Sarlahi, Naresh Raj Mahato.
The accident took place when a truck (Madhes State 039001 Kha 815) heading towards Ranigunj from Lalbandi hit a motorcycle (Na 33 Pa 7513) going in the same direction.
Shrawan was riding the motorcycle. Police arrested the truck driver and impounded both vehicles.
