Smart Film City to be constructed



KATHMANDU: Private sector is set to construct ‘smart film city’ at Besishahar municipality of Lamjung district.

Sky Entertainment Pvt Ltd of Nepal and an Italian construction company World Area Holding SRL signed an agreement for the construction of the film city with modern technology in an area covering 5,000 ropani of land.

This smart film city located at 2,050 meters to 2,900 meters from the sea level, would be the first city to be constructed at the highest point of the world.

Going to be constructed at a cost of some Rs 6 billion, a target has been set to complete the construction within seven years.

A total of 16 shooting spots will be constructed under the project. Several physical infrastructures such as college for film studies, organic farm, cable car, hotel and playground will be constructed in the area.
