Four Indian citizens killed in Sindhuli car accident

KATHMANDU: Four Indian nationals died in a car accident that occurred at Kamalamai municipality-3, Gadhigate in Sindhuli along the BP Highway last night.

According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Rjkumar Silwal, the car with an Indian number plate (BR 06 DD -687) met with the accident at 12.30 last night after it went uncontrolled.

The critically injured was being taken to Kathmandu for further treatment. The car was carrying five people.

All four dead are male.

SP Silwal further shared that the body of a person has been kept at Sindhuli Hospital while those dead in the spot have not been retrieved from the accident site.

The car had fallen down some 500 meters off the road. It was difficult to retrieve the bodies due to inaccessible geographical area.

“It takes over an hour to reach the accident site. So, there is trouble in taking out the bodies”, he added.

Support has been sought from the Nepal Army for retrieving the bodies and the NA team was heading to the site, Silwal informed.

Identities of the deceased have yet to be ascertained.
