Government serious on achieving prosperity goal: DPM Shrestha



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that the government is serious on achieving the goal of prosperity.

Talking to journalists at Damauli of Tanahu today, he stressed that the main agenda at present is economic prosperity and the government was serious to that end.

“The government will move forward along with an action plan for rejuvenating the economy,” the DPM said, adding that some problems have been seen in the economy, and these problems would be addressed and the economy revived.

“There have been some delay to that end due to works as government expansion and other since this is a coalition government. But the Finance Minister has already assumed his responsibility. We are holding an extensive discussion on April 12 on the topic of reviving the economy at the special initiation of the Prime Minister,” he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha reiterated that the government is effortful towards what concrete steps are needed in the context of the present economic condition, its problems and ways of resolving the problems.

“We will take concrete steps for identifying and resolving the problems of the economy,” he said.
