Two-day paragliding test flight underway at Dhorpatan



DHORPATAN, BAGLUNG: The two-day paragliding test flight is being conducted at Dhorpatan of Baglung district from Friday.

The test flight is underway at ward no-9 after taking permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), according to Dhorpatan municipality.

Deputy Mayor Dhan Bahadur Kayat said a test flight of paragliding is underway in order to bring into operation the commercial paragliding service for tourism promotion. The municipality had allocated Rs 300,000 in the current fiscal year for a test flight.

Stating that Dhorpatan is behind even after having immense potential, he shared that the potential of Dhorpatan should be identified and promoted.

Blue Sky Paragliding Pvt Ltd Pokhara has been conducting the test flight. The test flight from Masindhara to Tallochour was conducted successfully on Friday.

Paragliding would be conducted regularly after taking permission from the CAAN after a successful test flight, he mentioned.
