Birat Gold Cup: APF into semi-finals



KATHMANDU: Title holder Armed Police Force (APF) Club has entered the semi-finals of the Birat Gold Cup football tournament.

In the match held at the Shahid Stadium, APF defeated Bhutan’s Druk Loyal Football Club by 2-1 to book a place in the last four.

In the game that was tied at 1-1 at the scheduled 90 minutes, the APF won by scoring a goal in the second half of extra time after winning a penalty.

The winner of the competition will receive Rs 2 million while the runner-up team will win Rs 1 million in cash.
