UML to field Ashta Laxmi Shakya as vice-presidential candidate



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided to nominate make Ashta Laxmi Shakya as the vice-presidential candidate.

Party leader Pradip Gyawali said that a meeting of the party’s secretariat held on Saturday morning decided to make Shakya the candidate for the country’s vice president.

Shakya, who is also the former chief minister of Bagmati state, is the Vice-Chair of UML.
