“The representation of women in the majority of developed countries is five to 25 percent. In Nepal, the Constitution has guaranteed 33 percent in the State bodies and this must be increased to 50 percent.”

According to her, but still we have to go a long way for the improvement of women’s rights and to achieve gender equality.

Sexuality, disability and geography should be also guidelines for women’s participation in the State bodies, according to the Deputy Speaker, who assesses the women’s presence in politics as ‘rubber stamps’.
