DAMAULI: Actor Purna Bikram Shah (Paul Shah) has been released from prison after being acquitted by the Pokhara High Court in the case of minor sexual abuse.
His lawyer Kamala Mohan Wagle, family members and some friends went inside the jail to bring Shah out of the prison.
Hearing actor Shah’s appeal against the decision of the Nawalpur District Court, the High Court on Sunday ruled that the prosecution claim against Shah was not sufficient.
Earlier, Shah was acquitted by the Tanahun District Court.
A minor singer had filed a complaint against her for raping her in a hotel in Gaindakot, Nawalpur.
Paul was currently in Tanahun jail. He was already acquitted by Tanahun court.
