KATHMANDU: The government’s annual report of the fiscal year 2074-75 BS has been presented to the National Assembly.

In Sunday’s session of the Upper House, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Bhanubhakta Dhakal, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma, presented the report.

Similarly, in the meeting, NC lawmaker Anita Devkota presented a proposal in regard with the Appropriation Bill- 2076 BS, seeking the reduction in the budget allocated under the heading of Ministry of Drinking Water by a rupee.

She sought control over unnecessary expenditures, expressing her concerns over the re-provision of fuel budget for the Ministry office bearers.

Stating that people from many parts of the country are facing the problem of drinking water, the lawmaker highlighted the need for giving more attention to the development and capital expenditure.

Discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the Upper House is underway.
